Radiologists
Successful completion of a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology or equivalent. Medical qualifications registered with the Medical Board of Western Australia. Recognition by the Health Insurance Commission as a specialist.
Duties include provision of the full spectrum of diagnostic imaging services including interventional techniques. Areas of special interest or expertise are welcomed.
Medical Imaging Technologists (Radiographers)
Successful completion of a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging Technology) or equivalent. Current registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Registration Board of Western Australia (MRTBWA) and a current Radiation Safety Licence issued by the Radiological Council Western Australia is a requirement before commencing employment at SKG.
Main functions are to provide an efficient and high quality diagnostic imaging service for patients referred by medical practitioners, develop and collate films and ensure equipment is operated at maximum safety levels.
Medical Resonance Imaging Technologists
Successful completion of a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging Technology) or equivalent. Current registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Registration Board of Western Australia (MRTBWA) and a current Radiation Safety Licence issued by the Radiological Council Western Australia is a requirement before commencing employment at SKG. Post graduate qualifications in MRI desirable.
Main function is to perform MRI examinations producing high quality magnetic resonance images whilst ensuring the best possible service is given to patients at all times.
Sonographers
Successful completion of a Bachelor Degree in Applied Science, with post graduate studies in the area of Medical Ultrasound such as the completion of a Diploma of Medical Ultrasound through the Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM), the Graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound through QUT or equivalent. Current registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Registration Board of Western Australia (MRTBWA) and a current Radiation Safety Licence issued by the Radiological Council Western Australia is a requirement before commencing employment at SKG.
Main functions are to provide an efficient and high quality diagnostic imaging service, with a strong emphasis on ultrasound procedures, develop and collate films and ensure equipment is operated at maximum safety levels.
Nuclear Medicine Technologists
Successful completion of Bachelor of Applied Science, Medical Radiation Technology (Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent. Current registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Registration Board of Western Australia (MRTBWA) and a current Radiation Safety Licence issued by the Radiological Council Western Australia is a requirement before commencing employment at SKG.
Main functions as a Technologist is to provide a high standard of professional competence to perform nuclear medicine procedures and produce high quality diagnostic images following the ANZSNM code of practice. Further duties include ensuring radiation and workplace safety, quality control and assurance.
Nurses (Registered General Nurse or Enrolled Nurse)
Successful completion of a Bachelor Degree in nursing or equivalent for a RN or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent for an EN. Current registration with the Nurses Board of Western Australia is a requirement before commencing employment at SKG.
Main functions are to provide nursing support to radiologists, ensuring comfort, safety and well-being of patients.
Medical Audio Typists
Main function is to transcribe reports as dictated by the Radiologist in a manner that is both timely and accurate. Touch typing skills essential plus a medical terminology background.
Medical Receptionists
Main function is to provide excellence in patient services. Attending to patients in an efficient and courteous manner, managing the reception room environment, ensuring the booking of appointments and process of patient coming through the branch is as smooth as possible.
Medical Imaging Assistants / CT Assistants
Main function is to assist technical and medical staff with radiology examinations and procedures focusing on patient care and support.
Administration Staff
There are a variety of administrative positions within SKG, for example; Accountants, Accounts Payable, Patient Account Clerks, Collections Officers, Marketing, Human Resources, Admin Officers, Payroll Officer, and I.T.
