Fluoroscopy
What is Fluoroscopy?
Fluoroscopy is an x-ray procedure that produces live pictures that appear on a
screen instead of taking a permanent still picture. This allows the Radiologist
to observe how an organ performs its normal function; for example, how the
esophagus works during swallowing.
Preparation
You will need to make an appointment for this examination. Most
fluoroscopy procedures will require some preparation such as fasting or bowel
preparation. You will be advised how to prepare when your appointment is made.
